Gaby Corzo
Practice Administrator
Born and raised by two Guatemalan parents in Prince George's County, Gaby graduated from Bowie High School in 2011. She’s now a proud dog mom to her beloved Oso Bear, a German Shepherd-Husky mix with striking brown and blue eyes.
Gaby’s journey with Peepers began unexpectedly when she came in for a routine eye exam and received a job offer from the previous owner. After some time away to explore a different career path, she was drawn back by the warm and inviting environment created by the new owners, the Dr. Patels. Since then, Gaby has worked her way up to become the Practice Administrator.
In her free time, Gaby enjoys attending concerts, bowling, keeping up with the latest social media trends, and dancing.
Ashley Schlette
Executive Assistant
Ashley Schlette brings a passion for organization, teamwork, and patient care to her role as General Manager. Introduced to Peepers by her high school best friend and now Practice Administrator, Gaby Corzo, Ashley has grown into an invaluable member of the leadership team.
She worked her way up from Ophthalmic Technician to Optician, then to Manager and Biller, gaining experience in every facet of the eyecare industry. In her role, Ashley oversees all patient orders, assists with patient flow to minimize wait times and maximize efficiency, and ensures that patient records remain accurate, secure, and HIPAA-compliant. She’s here to make sure patients’ needs are met—so never hesitate to reach out to her with questions or concerns.
Outside of work, Ashley is a devoted mom to two children and her German Shepherd, and she’s a huge Disney fan. She dreams of traveling the world one day and enjoys making memories with her family whenever she can.


Kaytlyn Hunter
Executive Assistant
Kaytlyn Hunter, Executive Assistant Born and raised in Maryland, Kaytlyn has been part of the practice’s story from the very beginning — first as a patient of Dr. Patel’s since childhood, then as a dedicated team member. Over the years, she has worked her way up through multiple roles, gaining hands-on experience in every aspect of the office before becoming Executive Assistant. In her role, Kaytlyn ensures that patients receive exceptional care. She manages calendars and schedules for doctors, management, and key staff, coordinates appointments, meetings, and events—including patient consultations and community outreach—screens phone calls, emails, and messages, handling routine inquiries and escalating urgent issues, and assists with billing, insurance verification, and insurance follow-up tasks as needed.
Outside of work, Kaytlyn enjoys spending time with her husband, a proud Navy veteran, and their four beloved pets — two dogs and two cats.
